The mold is turned into an oven, heating the plastic until they turn into a molten state and it flows across the interior surfaces of the mold. Once it is cooled, the mold will be opened up and the part will be removed. ·         Cost or volume:  The total or annual volume of the parts must be known. For example, some of the manufacturing processes have high front costs for set-up and tooling. But they produce parts that are inexpensive on a part per basis. On the other hand, low-volume manufacturing processes have low start-up costs.
